23 Year Old Man Shot in Janakpuri

A 23 Year Old Man was shot in Janakpuri for allegedly refusing to keep the foot down from the bench in the park.

The man was shot by 3 unidentified persons after a quarrel broke out between them over a pity issue like keeping foot down. The injured man is 23-Year-Old Raja Alam who lives in Mahavir Enclave who is now admitted in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.

As indicated by a report by the Press Trust of India (PTI), the episode occurred on Saturday evening when Alam was sitting on a bench in a park close to a temple in Janakpuri.

Afterwards, a man came and asked Alam to keep his foot down. Alam was abused by the man and the man left. After some time, the man again came there alongside two additional men. They got in a fight with Alam during which one of them took out a weapon and shot at the person in question, PTI cited police as saying. 

As per Deepak Purohit, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Alam was raced to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Hari Nagar where he is going through medical treatment and is now stable.

A case has been registered and a chase is on to find the culprits.

Janakpuri Connect Team hopes the culprits are caught at the earliest and requests Delhi Police to increase patrolling to avoid such incidents.
