115 oxygen concentrators recovered from Janak Puri C-3 & C-5. Read full details.

TOTAL 115 OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR MACHINES AND 4,90,000/- CASH RECOVERED.  


Respected Sir,

  The Pandemic COVID – 19 is spreading all over the country & the people are dying due lack of oxygen. Meanwhile information was spreading regarding selling of oxygen concentrators in Delhi and also in the area of Outer North District.  

  On the direction of Sh Rajiv Ranjan Singh, DCP/OND Sir, a team comprising of Insp Brahamdev, SI Paramjeet, HC Yogender, HC Arun & HC Anil all from AATS/OND was constituted under the close supervision of Sh Richpal Singh, ACP/OPS/OND for developing further information and to take necessary legal action. In this regard a secret information was developed by staff of AATS/OND.

On receipt of a secret information, a team of AATS Outer North Distt has arrested total 4 accused persons namely (1) Anuj Jain S/O Lt. Suraj Sagar Jain R/O H. No. C- 3A/84 B Janakpuri, Delhi age 40 years (2) Shekhar Kumar S/o Shivanand R/o RZ- I/205 West Sagar Pur Delhi Age 37 Yrs, (3) Keshav Chaudhary S/o Laxmi Chand R/o RZ20/36, Vaishali Ext. Palam Dabri Road, Delhi & (4) Anil Jain S/O Lt. Suraj Sagar Jain R/O H. No. C- 3A/84 B Janakpuri, Delhi for having been found indulged in black-marketing of Oxygen concentrator machine. 

INCIDENT & OPERATION: 


In this regard an information was received from secret informer that a person namely Anuj Jain is selling oxygen concentrator machine on higher price through black-marketing.  On this a raiding team was constituted with the permission of senior officer and HC Arun Kumar No. 1097/OND was sent a decoy customer to purchase the machine.  He found one person Anuj Jain alongwith one Shekhar Kumar present in a Swift Car No. DL-9CP-8611 at Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, Delhi.  Above said Anuj Jain agreed to sell one oxygen concentrator machine for Rs. 1,10,000 and accepted Rs 5000 as a token money. On this, HC Arun signaled to the team and the raiding party immediately apprehended both persons and recovered total 5 oxygen concentrator machines form their Car. In this regard, a case vide FIR No.249/2021 U/S 420/269/188/120B/34 IPC, 3/7 Essential Commedity Act & 3 Epademic Disease Act  PS S.P. Badli, Delhi has been registered and further investigation was carried out.  On further interrogation accused persons disclosed that they have also stocked more oxygen concentrator machines their house at Janakpuri Delhi for selling on higher price in black market. 

On this a joint raid comprising staff of AATS & SPECIAL STAFF/OND was conducted at his house B1/30, Janak Puri Delhi and 60 more oxygen concentrator machines were also recovered. Also during the raid and search another car No. DL14CQ 2222 with 5 other oxygen concentrator machines was also seized and a third person namely Keshav Chaudhary S/o Laxmi Chand R/o RZ20/36, Vaishali Ext. Palam Dabri Road, Delhi was arrested.  The accused persons operating a godown at C-5A/107, Janak Puri Delhi which was found locked and there was possibility to found more oxygen concentrator machines in the said godown.  A police team was deployed at the Godown and investigation of the case was carried out.

During further investigation the accused persons were produced before the Hon’ble Court and Anuj was taken police custody remand while the other two accused persons were remanded to judicial custody on 01-05-21. The above said Godown was got searched at the instance of Anuj Jain. The police team was shocked to find that one of the brothers of Anuj Jain i.e. Anil Jain was present inside the locked godown along with 45 Oxygen Concentrators. Accordingly, he was also arrested and on further interrogation he got Rs. 4,90,000/- in cash recovered from the office in that godown which was alleged to be the amount received by selling oxygen concentrators in the black market. Investigation of the case is still going on.
